JUDICIAL REBIRTH !!!

The year appears to be a busy one for the Nigerian apex court; well justice should be a daily affair. The Nigerian apex court has passed a series of judgment in the last few weeks which generated unreserved accolade from the average common sense and well-meaning Nigerian. However one hopes that with the spate of positive rulings from the Supreme Court, the citizenry can conceive a sense of renewed hope for their beloved country
and hope such rulings from d Supreme Court, would mark the turning point of its judiciary to take its place as a true protector of the constitution and the refuge of the common Nigerian. The judiciary was meant to give the citizenry unrivaled hope but what we saw over the years was trifling, a case where the son asked for bread and was given scorpion by the father who should keep him out of harm’s way. The decadence of the judiciary snowballed into a quagmire that lead to the complete collapse of governance in a nation of great potentials to be an exemplary figure to its fellow sister nation. The current happening comes with a conception of judicial rebirth which we hope would culminate in the revival of governance in our nation. For years the nation suffered unbridled abuse and neglect of its citizenry by those saddled with the responsibility to ensure the smooth drive of its economy, protect its citizens and uphold the constitution. Such abuse and neglect continued unrivaled with a gagged judiciary and planted it roots so deep; birthing high level corruption, unemployment, illiteracy and insecurity. A reborn judiciary would be one that weighs to balance and strikes without fear or favor and only then would this nation be free from this brigands and charlatans who have brought a once glorious nation and pride of Africa to its knees that we now beg for survival. Justice remains essential for peace and the importance of peaceful coexistence cannot be overemphasized in the quest for growth and development, which is the only way forward.

MINISTRY OF DARKNESS!!!! With all due respects, permit me once again to describe and refer to our most beloved country, Nigeria, as a controversial “handbag”. Nigeria is a designer handbag “owned” by a selected few who take turns carrying the “bag”. E no go better for the devul. After Balablu set the ball rolling with his bold declarations in 2023 that it was his turn to “handle” Nigeria, our dearly beloved former First Lady, Patience Goodluck Jonathan, reiterated the claim in one of her speeches where she admonished her fellow politicians to be in support of one another as per “turn by turn “ government. “You support me during my turn so that when it gets to your turn, I will support you too.” Kai……. And I spent more than 12 years of my life as a child and teenager reciting the Nigerian national anthem in school. Chanting: “Arise O Compatriots! “Nigeria’s call obey” “To serve our Fatherland “ Oya hold it there! Truly, Nigeria called but the point I did not realise then be say, nobi everybody Nigeria call. You don’t understand? Did Nigeria call you and I? Tell me why a particular set of people will keep on answering “Nigeria’s call for almost half a century now? They will answer the call, come back again to re-answer call dem don answer before! One person will begin his political career as a Local Government Chairman, progress to a minister, move on to become a governor, then from there start hustling for president! And he will be successful ooo. Ngwanu, he will manage to stay there for 8 solid years (doing nothing by the way) and just when you are about to advise him to rest from politics, boom! He is back as a Senator! Olisa kere uwa i na afukwa? Only one person oooo. Just one person has occupied offices that 5 to 6 different people could have occupied. And you still expect me to continue reciting national anthem abi? Like this now, does it look as if this nation really belongs to all of us? Yeah, let us unmask the sacred masquerade! I repeat, does Nigeria actually belong to we all? Even though! Even though we are all Nigerians, do we really have equal rights and privileges? Minster of Power abi Darkness, Adebayo Adelabu inspired this my long talk o. He is the “wind behind the sail” of this article. Since Baba came out openly to inform the people of Oyo State that it was “his turn” to rule Oyo State, I have been in a state of outright perplexity! According to him, his gubernatorial ambition has nothing to do with his personal or selfish interests rather his motivation comes from wanting to improve the lives of others people in the state. He went further to explain that his desire to become the governor stems from the deep love he has for the poor, the less privileged and the entire people of Oyo State. No wahala. I won’t have even let this get to me if not for the part where I heard him declare that APC owns Oyo State and that PDP is just a guest. I don laugh taya! Dear Sir Adelabu, nobi from my mouth you go hear say people dey call you “power bank minister” on social media. My question to you is, do you want to become the governor of Oyo State because of your love for them, or you want to collect power from PDP, or because “it is your turn”? DOMINUS VOBISCUM!!!!!!
